The pool contract has no owner. No pause. No freeze. No migrate. No emergency withdraw. That is not a promise about how we behave. It is a property of the deployed bytecode. Anything upgradeable can be compelled to be upgraded. So we removed the option.

How a shielded transfer works. Deposit locks USDG and stores a commitment as a leaf in a Merkle tree. Sending proves four things at once: the note is in the tree, you own it, here is its nullifier, inputs equal outputs. The chain sees one nullifier, two leaves, one proof.
