@orlachae @Tragedy_Andy @bitchbi45 @mclovenxoxo I mean they help - and they do work for some. It's weird - the alarm goes off, you have 5 min. 10 min later, your mind believes you still have 5 min. Or after 1 min your mind says you're late. Then as you leave your brain identifies "URGENT" things you need to do on the way out.

sorry you’ll never convince me that the “lateness is a moral failing” isn’t rooted in colonization and capitalism, it’s CONTROL!!! and I get we live in a society blah blah blah but if it’s ur friends you know is always late tell them an earlier time or whatever but acting like it’s a moral failing is so puritanical and silly sometimes you just got to accept people as they are

I never said I didn't expect backlash. I am used to backlash, even for things that don't deserve it because welcome to the internet. But to be told to fuck off, judging my partner who they don't even know, death threats, etc. is not normal and will never not be normal or okay. There's a big difference between actual criticism and straight up hate and harassment.

@dilrhubarb Im chronically 12 minutes late and can’t seem to fix it no matter what i try. It has really made me prioritize finding people and workplaces who are compassionate, are also late, or genuinely dont care. I know not everyone has that opportunity but for me it has really helped

I'm so tired of lateness being viewed as a moral failing. I've been shamed for it my whole life because it's framed as "disrespect" (and no, it hasn't helped me be more punctual) and if I lost out on a major life opportunity because of it I don't think I could have ever recovered
