Here's the thing. Most of my life I made 0 to very little progress in anything. I knew, even when I was a very young man, that my potential is huge. Despite this knowing I always failed. Every time I seemed to stop right at the edge of mediocrity. This never satisfied me. I always wanted more, because inside I knew I'm missing something. Now I see that our surroundings are what's holding us back, especially when young. People never seemed to care that I wanted something more. So I needed to fight. Even though you might be an adult now, the rule is the same. They want you to focus on everything that's "important", but they never ask what truly matters yo YOU. We focus on million different tasks which someone else told us are "important", while in the same time losing our sense of meaning. Next thing you know, you do everything to distract yourself from this fact, you get addicted to certain substances and behaviors like scrolling, gambling etc. World craves your attention, without it, it's unable to function in the way that some people planned it to be. It's a war for your focus nowadays. But the real solution is not in distraction or numbness. It's rediscovering what truly matters to you. And acting upon it without any restraints. Your focus, attention, energy. YOUR TIME is your currency. Don't dare to waste it on the things that never mattered in the first place.

ROM, The best part about tending to the nervous system is that if you give it room it breathe, the rest of the natural world becomes naturally compelling. Tech saturation overstimulates and when we're overstimulated, we are by definition unstimulated by reality. Being stimulated by reality is better.

Biggest enemy of focus is nervous system overstimulation. If you want to change anything in your life, take care of it first. You can regulate it with: dopamine detox minimizing stimulants no drugs avoiding overstimulating behaviors you'll see how much your focus improves...
