Today we laid the foundation stone for Nonthaburi’s very first Inclusive Playground 💙🛝 The Israel-Thailand Inclusive Playground project is close to my heart. It will give children of all abilities the chance to play safely, learn together, and feel truly included. I believe it will also strengthen the friendship between our two nations in a very meaningful way. My sincere thanks to Mr. Taweebhong Wichaidit, Governor of the National Housing Authority, Dr. Weerasak Kowsurat, Friendly Design Ambassador, Mr. Krisana Lalai, President of the Friendly Design for All Foundation, and all the residents of the Baan Ua-athon Bang Yai community. Thank you for your collaboration in making this vision a reality 🙏. I hope this inclusive playground will be just the beginning of many such projects to come across Thailand 🇮🇱💗🇹🇭

Visiting Teacher Boonchoo Home for Special Children in Chonburi today, filled me with inspiration and hope. The love, dedication, and strength of Teacher Boonchoo and her team to all children - have created not just a school , but a beautiful home, where over 250 children with special needs can grow, learn, and shine. I’m proud that we could play a part in renovating this special place, and grateful to Nanmeebooks for filling it with books and imagination. 🚀 The 1st Thailand–Israel Cybersecurity Workshop, A New Chapter in Digital Collaboration! Kicking off a new era of cooperation, we held this week the 3-day first-ever Thailand–Israel Cybersecurity Workshop, in partnership with Thailand’s NCSA. It was an honor to deliver the welcoming and closing remarks, and be part of this important step towards deeper cyber cooperation and innovation. Great meeting with the @TCPGroup team today! Together with Tomer Shpilman and his trade team, we had a very interesting meeting with with Khun Saravoot Yoovidhya, Chief Executive Officer of TCP Group and his team. The story of the group starts with the legendary Red Bull drink, originated in Thailand and today can be found anywhere around the globe. We discussed ways for Israel and Thailand to team up on innovation, investment, and exciting new collaborations - especially in sectors like FoodTech, AgriTech, Health & Wellness, Energy and Smart Consumer Tech. It was inspiring to hear about TCP’s vision for the future, and we hope to see growing collaboration between the group and Israeli innovative startups. Yesterday I held a briefing on the current situation in the Middle East, to the Chairman and members of the Senate Committee of Foreign Affairs. I focused on Operation Rising Lion, the imminent existential risks posed by Iran to Israel and the Iranian threat to regional and global stability and security. I also spoke about the objectives achieved by Israel during the 12 days of the operation. Thank you for the opportunity to share our perspective and insights.

I’ve had the opportunity to speak in recent days with many Thai journalists, to share Israel’s position regarding the ongoing operation Rising Lion in Iran. During the interviews, I made it clear that Israel is operating against an existential threat posed by the radical Iranian regime. This is a regime that continues to push towards obtaining nuclear weapons, building thousands of long-range ballistic missiles, and supporting terrorism across the region - while calling for the annihilation of the State of Israel. At the same time that Israel continues to target military and terrorist facilities, Iran has proved once and again that it doesn't hesitate to deliberately target highly populated civilian areas in israel. No country should be expected to stand by and do nothing in the face of such imminent existential threat.

A good opportunity to catch up at the Embassy with members of the Thai-Israel Friendship Foundation. We had an inspiring conversation regarding the prospects of working even closer together - from boosting trade and launching training programs to using AI in education and promoting exchange in STEM, innovation and health sciences. Grateful for the friendship and excited to keep developing new ventures great together! 🇮🇱🇹🇭✨

Last night, we marked here in Bangkok the 77th Independence Day of Israel — a long journey of resilience, innovation, and hope. It was truly an honor to welcome so many dear friends, dignitaries and partners from across Thai society, who joined us in this special moment. Your presence meant a great deal to us and reflected the deep and lasting friendship between Israel and Thailand. A special thank you to Khun Anutin Charnvirakul, Duputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, for not only attending but also sharing such thoughtful words that beautifully captured the spirit of cooperation between our two countries, but also being a true friend. Congratulations to all the recipients of the Israel–Thailand Friendship Award 2025.
