@ianfflood A seasoned criminal would then know that their school will be unattended. A prime window of opportunity to leave the lids off their felt tips, perhaps?

The conductor’s just used the tannoy to announce to the train that the pupils of a local primary school have just boarded for their school trip. Lots of excited screaming in the background! 😂🥰 I’ve just reported him for breaching GDPR and the school’s safeguarding policy 👍

My consultant is happy with the recovery of my lung and has discharged me! Although I'm still a frequent flyer for head & neck cancer, this is a big win and a big pow!

I spoke to another doctor today who reminded me how critically ill I really was 2 months ago - right on the cliff edge. I keep being told this, but my brain still can’t take in how close I came to not being here. It’s utterly terrifying.

There’s one thing I like more than a fight: a fight with one hand tied behind my back. The odds don’t need to be fair. Living with cancer has made that clear. People have written me off in the past and I'm still here.

Culturally and psychologically, “not eating or drinking” is associated with: * dying * hospice * final stages * withdrawal from the world Being nil by mouth is certainly challenging my mind, body and soul. To be honest, it is existentially terrifying and after 2 months, I'm struggling every day. I've lost 3 stones in weight since being in Critical Care. Christmas, New Year and the cold weather haven't helped. All I want to do is eat and drink but this is not ever going to be a safe option for me again. I'll be writing a blog soon in this to get it off my chest. Sorry to moan!

Today I’m in hospital exploring photobiomodulation - a potential therapy for my throat fibrosis and swallowing issues. Think Star Trek dermal regenerators, but real! It is a targeted light (lasers and LEDs) designed to support tissue repair, calm inflammation, and reduce pain. I may not be able to eat and drink without risk ever again, but this could help. I'm still exploring, and I'm still hopeful because I can't afford to think any other way. I'm interested whether my appointment will be with an Emergency Medical Hologram!

Morning Sport on @SkyNews done ✔️ Honestly don’t know why I bother posting on here to get quite so much abuse from strangers but then I think ‘ I’m still alive and well so I am going to post - sexist, ageist, haters you do you’ . That’s it.

I live in a body that can betray me without warning, lungs that may falter, strength that may slip. Food no longer passes my lips; a tube keeps me alive while pain keeps me humble. In the quiet hours when fear knocks loudest, I stand in the only power I have left: the choice to continue.

Just back from hospital and another X-ray. Still an air leak so my chest drain stays in. Taking it out would cause my chest to collapse again so we have to be certain no air is leaking. Could take weeks more yet.

After a tough few years with chronic illness, I set out on a personal project – and I’m finally ready to share it. It’s called Prime Vitality. This isn’t a new job or a career change – just something I’ve been working on quietly in my own time, shaped by everything I’ve learned through my own health journey. Since 2019, I’ve lived with chronic illness and a long list of symptoms – from brain fog and fatigue to feeling constantly unwell. It wasn’t until 2024 that I finally started to feel like myself again. Supplements were part of what helped – but finding good ones was a minefield. I spent years researching ingredients, hunting for high-quality, bioavailable, methylated versions that actually made a difference – and that’s when they finally started to have a real impact on my health. That’s what led to Prime Vitality – a passion project focused on creating the kind of products I wish I’d had from the start: effective, bioavailable, and backed by science. It’s been 12 months in the making (with more than a few hurdles along the way), but we’re now officially in production and aiming to launch in the next 6–8 weeks. We’re not live just yet, but if you’re interested in health and wellness – or want to follow the journey – I’d love you to join the mailing list here: 👉 lnkd.in/e8QExu8B Thanks so much for the support. It means a lot. 💚

Cancer is such a challenge. If it doesn’t take our life, it still robs us of personal characteristics we take for granted like confidence, energy, hair, eyebrows and eyelashes, all of being defining personal features. But the loss of those is temporary. I have survived 🩷 3/3

My cancer journey told through my lost hair Where it started, where it went and where I am today …no longer a thick and long brunette head of hair but a much shorter grey with curly baby soft hair that only those that have experienced regrowth after chemo likely understand 1/3

I’m on Tamoxifen, which causes hot flushes. I’ve also been plunged into medical menopause—more hot flushes. This heat is draining my life and willpower, so I’ve been influenced… and bought a Shark misting fan. I’m expecting it to change my life. #heatwave

We’ve come to believe that Vinnie was sent to us by Laura & last night he managed to sneak upstairs (despite the makeshift barricade!) & do a spectacular poo in Gracie’s immaculate bedroom so that’s pretty much confirmed it🤣 #puppylife #puppydiaries

Meet Vinnie our 9 wk old collie We're besotted & getting v little done as we just watch him play & marvel at how clever he is. Don’t get me wrong, we're still utterly broken by grief but Vinnie's helped us through a difficult week & it’s lovely to hear laughter in the house again
