My dad is the one who buys foodstuffs in the house. He buys everything in large quantities. Everything! So we've never suffered for food. The only time he eats at home is dinner. Except for weekends. One day, he said he wanted yam because he bought it in large quantity the previous month. And we told him yam is finished. He asked, "All that yams?" We answered yes. His response was, " Oga oo, I didn't even eat from it." He just went out. We felt bad when he came back carrying bag of yams, that day I realised that he doesn't even eat much from what he worked hard for. Yet he did not stop buying.

INCITING VIOLENCE - GOVERNOR MAKINDE, YOU ARE UNWORTHY OF THE OFFICE YOU OCCUPY While addressing a summit of opposition political parties in Ibadan, yesterday, Saturday, April 25, 2026, Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo state invoked the bloody history of “Operation Wetie” to incite Nigerians to violence over his baseless and senseless allegation of the country’s descent into a one party state. The All Progressives Congress (APC) categorically condemns Governor Makinde’s @seyimakinde incitement as reckless, and a clear and present threat to peace and national security. It is particularly disturbing for a sitting Governor who bears constitutional responsibility as the Chief Security Officer of his state to conjure up one of the darkest episodes of political violence in Nigeria’s history to threaten violence against the people and government of Nigeria. By his incitement to violence, Makinde has showed himself to be unworthy of the high office of Governor that he occupies.
I have studied Awolowo... I have studied Akintola... I have studied MKO.... The only political leader of the Yoruba people of this 21st century that needs studying is President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Awolowo was jailed and lost his son in prison because of his political ideology... Akintola was killed because of his political ideology and his Yoruba heritage... MKO Abiola and his wife were killed because of their political struggles... Only Tinubu came from that background and successfully made it into Aso Rock. History is extremely important for Homo sapiens to understand where they are coming from and where they going. I will never be part of those self destructive elements that join outsiders to say nonsense about him. He built his political dynasty and legacy from the ashes of NADECO and from the ruins of Alliance for democracy (A.D). It takes the grace of God, to survive what he survived politically in Nigeria.
