By far the worst thing that Laufman did, and it's not even close, was what he did with Igor Danchenko, Christopher Steele's supposed super source who was presented as having a direct line to Putin's innermost thoughts. When the FBI located Danchenko in December 2016, Laufman decided to give him advance warning, give him a few weeks to get his story straight, and then grant him total immunity, all in exchange for absolutely nothing. Well, at least nothing in the service of truth, but everything in the service of keeping the Russia collusion hoax alive. See, Laufman knew that if the FBI had simply gone in and picked this guy up cold, the entire hoax would have collapsed then and there because it was all made up. Laufman could not allow that to happen. So instead, Danchenko hired a lawyer, Mark Schamel, the same guy who somehow always seems to surface whenever key Russiagate figures need representation. Who got Schamel? Who paid for him? No one knows. Danchenko and Schamel then had weeks to construct an elaborate story that, while conceding that much of the collusion narrative was made up, left just enough wiggle room for Danchenko to walk away and for the collusion narrative itself to survive. And, of course, Laufman was there in the room when Danchenko was finally brought in to deliver his carefully prepared story. Absolutely toxic man.

I am begging both parties to understand that the interests of elites and corporations do not matter more than those who they’re SUPPOSED to be representing. Corporations and foreign governments don’t get a single vote and yet receive the most representation. Expect this number to grow if the current trend we’re seeing continues. Wages aren’t keeping up with the cost of living, buying a house is impossible, greedy corporations prefer foreign labor to American, and we have an inflated and fragile economy. This is our reality and we have so many out of touch politicians/media who wonder why the Dems are turning towards Socialism and why young conservatives no longer believe in the free market. THEY created this!

Im ICE Berlin-Hamburg stehen die Leute dicht an dicht. Alle Toiletten sind gesperrt. Das Bistro ist zu, ein Wagen wegen defekter Klimaanlage unbenutzbar. Auch auf dem Boden sitzen die Menschen. Notausgänge sind versperrt. Die Anzeigen funktionieren nicht. Demnächst Toiletten-Stopp am Bahnhof.

This is our plan for the coming days. The next game we’ll attend is Germany’s Round of 32 match in Boston on the 29th. Since we have 7 days to get there, we decided not to take the direct route and instead make a huge detour through Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and a few other states. Any recommendations for places or cities to visit along the way are very welcome!

The Rush reunion has made me very happy. It’s bittersweet, without Peart, but what a tribute it has become! Here are my kids at Rush’s May 2013 Clockwork Angels tour stop in Raleigh, NC. They were only 15 and 18 (14 and 17?) at that time, but they knew every lyric. I looked over and saw them singing along to a deep cut track from Clockwork (“The Wreckers”), and turned the camera on. A mother is outraged after her 17-year-old son was sh0t and k*lled at work in Charlotte NC... ...and prosecutors just DROPPED the m*rder charge against one of the Black male suspects AND NOW HE WILL ONLY SPEND 5-7 YEARS IN PRISON!!! His name was Fate Brannon. He was 17 years old. He worked at a Jack in the Box in Charlotte, NC. He prayed with his mother the morning he died. He told her he'd call her after his shift. He never got the chance. He was sh0t and k*lled during a robbery at that restaurant. TWO people were charged with his first-degree m*rder. In February, one of them, a 16 year old Black male, took a plea deal. Prosecutors dropped the m*rder charge. He pleaded guilty to robbery and conspiracy instead. His sentence for a role in the k*lling of a 17-year-old boy? 5 to 7 years. And now his mother is watching the SECOND suspect, a 28-year-old Black male who has been arrested MULTIPLE TIMES, fight to get his charges dismissed too. "The system already failed us when he was out here. Is the system about to fail us again?" Fate Brannon will never see 18. And the people charged with taking his life are getting deals and dismissals. I am so sick of this... North Carolina, will you ever FUCKING LEARN?!!!!!!!!!!!!! Say his name!!!!!! Fate Brannon.

@fiago7 If you drive South, take I-81 through the Shenandoah Valley, then go to the NC mountains. If you go North, Boston is cool. Go to North End and get great Italian food and pastries. And take a historical walking tour. If possible, fly out West to San Francisco.
