@Shpeshal_Nick I think the issue Sony faced was they wanted to have their cake and eat it too. They wanted their PC ports to sell better (most had muted sales compared to the console releases - largely due to launching so late) but also wanted to drive people towards PS5. Neither happened.

If Sony *genuinely* believed putting their games on PC at least without their own launcher that included cross buy/cross save and trophies (among other benefits) was going to increase PS5 sales, then they really are becoming as dumb as Microsoft

Yes, PC ports didn't hurt PS5 sales. But many people are missing the point: Sony's initial plan was to INCREASE console sales by enticing PC players to purchase and play sequels to Horizon Zero Dawn, God Of War or Spider-Man on PS5. This strategy failed. wccftech.com/sony-wants-to-…

Many people are misinterpreting what I reported as if it directly confirms AI is being used in all the wrong ways and Halo is doomed. I did NOT report that. I have begun reaching out to sources to figure out specifics about how Halo Studios is using generative AI. Also using AI in game development isn’t new, but using it in negative ways is becoming an industry wide issue. I’ll talk about this in my next video. #Halo
