katniss having a meltdown after shooting an arrow towards the gamemakers makes a huge difference on this scene was portrayed in the movies. the book reminds us that katniss is scared of the capitol's power over them. she may be reckless but she was always scared from the start.

the first movie made katniss plain indifferent and impatient before the game starts. but the books shows she's just vigilant but not indifferent. she cares even if she intended not to be one.

@mooninfreak i read somewhere that's it's best to read them in order of publication date so that's what i decided to follow

@marysha57701261 she was so vigilant at any act of kindness around her but i get why 😭 but she was never indifferent to peeta just cautious so im sad they made her look indifferent in the first movies before the game started

@ovchkty You also miss every time in book one Peeta does something remotely nice all katniss can think is "he wants to kill me" 🤣 if reading is not your thing, the audiobook read by Tatiana Maslany is amazing !

the books i read makes me question sometimes if i should go and try to become a professor and make my students reads the book that are so thought-provoking, one has to experience it in this lifetime.
