From DM: My main problem with President Macron and France is what I saw in the Sahel region (Mali, Burkina Faso, Niger, Chad, Mauritania, and parts of Cameroon) a few years ago. I helped a company set up branches in almost all African countries except the Sahel region. We had to get a business permit from France in order to set up a branch there. The requirements were out of this world. At some point, we even had to pay some business permit fees to France instead of Cameroon. Tell Kenyans not to tolerate that man at all.

Someone should check on UDA supporters tonight. Some are celebrating like Manchester United fans after drawing 1-1 at home while sitting position 14 on the table. Imagine deploying government power, government money, government administrators, government vehicles, government fear, government promises and still a man associated with Rigathi Gachagua walks into your sitting room wearing slippers and leaves with 10,000 votes tucked under his armpit. This was supposed to be a funeral procession for DCP. Instead it became a stress test for William Ruto. Riggy G has done something dangerous tonight. He has proved that Ruto is no longer feared politically. The “bedroom” was entered. The wardrobe opened. The mattress lifted. Even under the pillow DCP still found votes. And please respect Rigathi. The man was removed from government, insulted daily, isolated, threatened and painted black from morning to evening. Yet one whistle from him and UDA starts sweating inside Rift Valley like a thief in a church crusade. Meanwhile some people are shouting “we won!” Won what exactly? If a government uses everything it has and still loses over 10,000 votes in its own backyard, that is not victory. That is a missing persons report. Now to my Luo brothers and sisters, open your eyes. Politics is changing. Stop behaving like DCP is a contagious skin disease. The same way some people told you Rift Valley can never listen to another voice, tonight Riggy G has entered the king’s bedroom and switched off the WiFi. This election was not about Dollarline. It was a political pregnancy test for Ruto. And the results are out. Two red lines zimeonekana. Rigathi is no longer a regional politician. He is becoming a national headache for State House. Somewhere tonight Ruto is staring at the ceiling wondering how a man he removed from office is still controlling the political remote control with no batteries. Riggy G is a tactician, a schemer and a political mathematician.
