On NSUI’s 56th Foundation Day, I salute thousands of selfless NSUI student activists who dedicated their years to fighting for student rights. I also pay tribute to Indira Gandhi Ji, who laid the foundation of NSUI and envisioned a strong, progressive student movement. Today, jobs are at an all-time low, educated youth are unemployed, and democracy is under attack - including the ban on student elections. As several states go to the polls on this Foundation Day, I urge every student and young voter: choose jobs, development, and reject hate. Yesterday in Balussery, Keralam I met Yamaraj on a bus. Unfortunately he wasn’t particularly happy to see me or the other UDF leaders.
