The ripple effect of the Protection of Sovereignty Act. 1. NGOs close, hotels can nolonger host their conferences and meetings. Profits dwindle, staff are laid off, revenue collected dips and procurement of other services including foods and beverages tank! #SOVEREIGNTYACT

Closing Q1 2026 with reflection and intention. The Board of @reachahand and I took time last week to pause, challenge ourselves & honestly assess how far we’ve gone in truly putting young people at the centre of action. This year, we committed to shifting from service delivery to systems change, and that means moving beyond participation to building real, tangible youth leadership that responds to gaps in education, skilling, health, and wellbeing. Aluta continua💪💪 #ThrowbackThursday #RAHUAt15 #ReachAHandAfrica

We are proud of the progress made and committed to supporting management to achieve the great ambitions for the rest of the year.

As we close Quarter One of 2026, we convened for a reflective evaluation session together with @reachahand leadership, our Governance Board Chair, @owekmeno, and Board Members to assess our progress. At the start of the year, we committed to a bold shift: from service delivery to systems change, anchored in our theme, “Youth at the Centre.” Q1 has challenged us to examine how to strengthen meaningful youth engagement, building their agency to shape solutions and influence the systems that affect them. This evaluation matters now because, as we pursue systems change, our actions must be deliberate, consistent, and strengthened through accountability. We move forward by refining our approach, strengthening youth leadership, and ensuring institutions become more responsive to the voices and realities of young people in Uganda and across Africa. #RAHUAt15 #ReachAHandAfrica

Thank you District Governor @GKitakule for all the support. Your presence meant a lot to us and to the women of this nation.
Geoffrey M. Kitakule@GKitakule

Behind every resilient community lies the quiet strength of women. At the Unite for Women Concert, I paused to reflect on something deeply personal: our identities are greatly influenced by women. Their strength, compassion, and reliability consistently shape @Rotary and our communities. I have often said that when you entrust women with responsibility, excellence follows naturally. I appreciate the @RotaryNaalya for leading the way in rethinking how we honor women. #RotaryEyamba
