Free agent WR Alec Pierce has agreed to terms to remain in Indianapolis on a historic 4 year $114M deal that will make him the highest paid free agent receiver in NFL History. The deal negotiated by agents Mike Swenson and CJ LaBoy, came together overnight and contains $84m in guarantees, $60m fully guaranteed at signing, and a max package of $116M.

@rupley77 @JAult75 Sure, the basketball team hasn't won enough for a Big Ten title. But, before tonight's loss, they were well in NCAA Tournament contention, and potentially still are. Don't know, I guess a game with a lot riding on it like tonight would've drawn more energy.

In the history of women’s college basketball, no player from a Power 4 conference has ever averaged 20 points per game while shooting on 50/40/90 splits across an entire season — but Indiana’s Shay Ciezki is on pace to become the first. The Buffalo native is putting together a historic season, averaging (24.1) points while shooting 54.4% from the field, 46.6% from three (2.7 makes per game), and 90.7% from the free-throw line. After spending her first three seasons as a consistent 11-point scorer, Ciezki has erupted into one of the most productive players in the country. She’s made one of the largest scoring jumps nationwide, boosting her average by (12.3) points per game. You can point to increased shot attempts as the reason for the jump, but her ridiculous efficiency has been just as important. She’s also one of just three players — alongside Vanderbilt’s Mikayla Blakes and Iowa State’s Audi Crooks — with multiple 30-point performances against ranked opponents. She went for 38 points on 57.1% shooting against then–No. 10 Iowa State and later recorded 31 points on 61.9% shooting against then–No. 25 Nebraska. After dropping their first 10 conference games, the Hoosiers have responded with three straight wins behind Ciezki’s production. During that stretch, she’s averaging (31.0) points on 59/50/89 splits.
