'HRV' dats lets us measure the opportunity cost of engaging in certain habits or behaviors. Whether it's an extra run, an poor sleep routine, or a few days of poor hydration, having an objective recovery metric helps athletes understand where they are and focus on next.

Want to improve recovery? Track it. While not perfect, Heart Rate Variability (HRV) data collected passively during sleep provides an overall indicator of recovery. So, if players see a dip in their HRV, they know they should take some extra steps toward recovery.

To improve sleep quality, try incorporating these habits into evening routines in the hour leading up to bedtime: - Exposure to cooler temperatures - Consume 8 ounces of warm water to activate PNS - Use Box Breathing to down-regulate cortisol - Eliminate or dim light

In a recent survey of 14,000+ NCAA student-athletes, 61% reported daytime fatigue at least three or more days a week. 18% of respondents felt that sleep difficulties were impacting academic performance. While in-facility testing is crucial, it's missing 90% of the story.
