Since they don't intend to fix this while their "internal customer", the File Explorer team, is affecting this issue, we will go our own way to improve performance.

This’s built with WinUI. Wonder if it’s actually usable but it’s obsolete to say WinUI sucks, MS may actually be working on design and developing native apps seriously.
That said, Files is still there, go download the Files app and see how powerful and beautiful it is!

What timing! Build 26300.8289 FINALLY replaces the spinning dots on the login screen and shutdown/restart/etc. screens with the newer spinning animation seen on the boot screen. 🥳

With more talk and hope around UI consistency in Windows 11 recently, I really hope these old Win8 spinning dots on the login and shutdown/sign out/etc. screens finally get updated this year. Please.

@ox5bfaooo Any reason why we don't do it the old school way, aka dragging icon to re order? This is a dedicated edit screen so that is no click-for-action vs click-to-reorder distinction, right? Just curious whether this is a UX decision or technical limitation decision

@ox5bfaooo あんまりしないなw でもたしかに MainPage だけじゃなくても他のページでも使うデータが揃ってるほうが普通っぽい。よく static で使われてるし (MainViewModel.Instance とか)。Mock するなら Service Locator 経由で Instance を取ればいい

WinUIでMainPageをMainViewModelではなく特別にMainPageViewModelにするか問題、SwiftUIにもあるんだ

ViewModelをFooViewModelのように名付けてると、FooScreenに対してFooViewModel（Screenは？）、FooScreenViewModel（長い）、FooScreenModel（ViewModelなのに？）のどれも微妙。FooScreenStateにしてプロパティ名もstateにすれば解決。@ Stateで保持するのにも対応。MVVM警察に絡まれることもない。
