However, players’ impact with each other & the ground, & rapid acceleration-deceleration means concussions can never be completely eliminated. There are currently no FDA-approved treatments for concussion. Treatment has not changed much in hundreds of years. Current therapies treat the symptoms and not the underlying cause.
