Today I$rael tried to kill me in a targeted airstrike in southern Lebanon as I was reporting on was the targeting of bridges and the forced displacement of 1 million people, an ethnic cleansing operation on a larger scale than the Nakba

As we have seen in Gaza they want to silence journalists who document and report their war crimes
It is the western powers who provide political and military support for I$rael, arming it to the teeth to carry out genocide in Gaza and ethnic cleansing here in Lebanon. They are not simply complicit, but active participants and should be held accountable for their actions.
But if I$rael thinks today’s strike will silence us and keep us out of the field they are very, very mistaken

The US is going it alone with Israel. It’s official. Centcom and the IDF are grinding the IRGC down to the root and will underwrite Gulf security shoulder to shoulder. But the international community’s failure to deploy a broad protective maritime force to shield soft assets across over a thousand mile littoral means Iranian drones will hit commercial vessels, ports and oil terminals when the IRGC escalates out of desperation. It will not stop Epic Fury and Roaring Lion from completing objectives. But sure as hell is going to sting a lot more than it needed to, and when they cry foul and point their inverted fingers at the US and Israel, as they always do, remember this moment. Remember this post. This is predictable. They are creating a structurally necessary domino effect through their inaction.

I fear @vali_nasr is right. When I met Ali Larijani I found him an absolute insider kingpin of the Iranian regime -- but also the kind of strong and pragmatic leader who just might be able to hammer out a peace deal. Not sure, but I wonder if the war will now be harder to end.

Larijani’s replacement will be appointed by IRGC. With every assassination U.S. and Israel engineering greater radicalization of Iran’s leadership. It will makes for a bleak future for Iran, Iranians, the region and ultimately makes it far more difficult for U.S. to disentangle itself from endless conflict in the region.
