@OzKitsch Old RBA building at 60 Collins had a firing range on one of the upper floors for the guards. Once they got rid of the armed guards I think it got used for golf driving.

@mcdonellaussie @OzKitsch I used to stand in the back corner of the foyer of the RBA in Canberra with a gun on my hip for 7 hours a day. Kept the 6 shooter and ammo in the vault at the end of the day. That was before they stopped offering personal accounts. Fun times!

@OzKitsch Yar, my father was in banks in country SA in the late 60s and did the same thing. He thought nothing of walking down the street woth a loaded revolver in his pocket. As a side note, the police would tell him 'Shoot to kill.' For his own safety.
