Tra i 3 e i 5 mila ucraini presero parte alla battaglia di Montecassino, uno degli scontri più cruenti della Seconda Guerra Mondiale. Non scelsero "tra la sconfitta e la disfatta", anche se la vittoria a volte sembrava molto lontana. Combatterono fianco a fianco con gli altri alleati, perché era in gioco la libertà dell'Italia e dell'intera Europa. Per quanto dura sia la lotta dell'Ucraina oggi, essa è altrettanto fondamentale quanto quella di 80 anni fa. Saremo sempre grati per il sostegno dell'Italia e di tutti gli italiani che, a differenza di Matteo Salvini, comprendono che sul campo di battaglia in Ucraina si decide il destino della pace in Europa. Al signor Vicepremier, se ha a cuore un accordo di pace, consigliamo di rivolgersi non al Presidente dell'Ucraina — il Paese che si difende dall'aggressione — bensì a Putin, che ha scatenato questa guerra.

If these 1 mln wanted to kick the "government" out, they easily could. But they either want this, or don't care which both are a crime.

@CaolanReports I think this is the wrong way of looking at things. The Russian people, and the Russian government, are two different things. It's possible to fight, and condemn, the murderous thugs of Putin, while also having sympathy for the Russian people, who Putin has been oppressing.

Just left Ukraine for the first time in a while and I get asked on public radio why I should have sympathy for Russians This is the problem with media and why no one understands what’s going on in Ukraine. This is what we’re up against with the mainstream media. Ukraine matters.

Since "Keith" sounds like "Cat" in Ukrainian, the Ukrainians have nicknamed my role as Special Envoy Kellogg as "the cat". When "The Cat" visits UKR, Russia pauses its strikes on civilians, giving them a few nights of peace.
