@lovesiickhorror yes. ive done this so many times when i was like ~9 to 13. anything can be an attempt under the condition you were trying to kill yourself, no matter how likely it is to work. hell if you ate an expired can of soup as an attempt to kill yourself that'd even count. ur valid 🤍.

ESPECIALLY how fictional tropes portray cult members as terrifying. they aren't terrifying, trust me. the cult ITSELF & the cult LEADER are the evil & terrifying ones, the members are 8 times out of 10 indeed NOT, they're usually just vulnerable brainwashed victims.

as a former cult member I must say, i hate how cult members are portrayed as evil & terrible people, especially in fictional tropes. yes some are, but that is not the case for most. everyone else who escaped said cult i was in wasn't evil at all. it seems insensitive but i dunno.
