January has been a busy month in the PACA School Library, with visits from four Mile Oak Primary School groups. Our brilliant Year 8, 9 and 11 student Reading Volunteers were outstanding hosts, showing the pupils from classes around the library and hearing them read #reading

Our Year 11s begin their mock exams on Monday 6th November. Students will be given timetables at the end of this week. Good luck to our Y11s!

Thanks to the amazing Sussex Safer Road Partnership who kicked off their tour of Sussex at PACA on Monday The SSRP road show visited PACA and gave interactive live theatre performances to our Y7s and Y11s about road safety and driving.

It’s #GCSEResults Day! We wish all our PACA students receiving their results today the best of luck with the next step of their journeys. We are proud of you all! ⭐️

An evening in camp well spent! Card games, dinner, and some good old fashioned jump scares.

Breakfasted and packed up - a little slower than yesterday - but en route and doing well!

Hiding from the rain for a moment! Both groups safely back in camp and relaxing.

#teamwork in action. One member of the team was less confident with navigation yesterday but wanted to get it right and contribute. Two of their team members sat with them and taught, checked for understanding, and then praised them. This is what DofE is about. @aldridgeonline

Tents are up, and pasta is cooking. All very chilled in camp tonight :) Just overheard one group discussing their aim: “We still have to write a poem about going around in a circle…” but we’re in good spirits and enjoying some fresh air.

And they’re off!

Kit checked (those carefully packed bags emptied and repacked!) and minibus boarded. Our two Silver Y10 teams are prepped and ready for the off!
