That one is actually the opposite of a normal braking mechanism, because in emergencies it turns off automation, and only activates when a train arrives during normal operation. Normal brakes are on by default, hence why evacuations sometimes happe

@pacific_coaster @FrshBakedDisney The ride suspends you over the edge for 5 seconds before being released. Hence the name hang time. The question was about that situation and the bail out system.

This quite literally enough to get me to never ride anything like this ever. Never ever. They're going to take those guests out of there backwards and upside down...hell no.

I feel Coco deserves better imho. Personally I would have gotten ride of the food court, Goofy's Sky School, Zepher etc and built a really fleshed out immersive Mexican village + boat ride in that entire area. But will have an open mind to see how this plan shapes up.

Is Mystic Timbers worth the hype? I don’t judge ride POVs bc they aren’t indicative of the real experience, but they’ve got me wondering how good it is.

Going to Europe and seeing the absolute insane theming in contrast with American theming from rides of the same company that are even OLDER will really shock you. F.L.Y’s atmosphere is beautiful, this is lazy.

@Trackcoon People who care about theming will go to Disney and Universal, regional parks simply cannot compete on that front. I love theming, but I want parks to use their budget to maximize their coasters and operations first

@pacific_coaster Give me two good reasons why it shouldn’t, and don’t say cost as one. The cost will eventually be made up by park attendance.

This would be the dumbest decision they could possibly make. Retail is on the decline, not the upswing, and they will never find this many acres again in Anaheim. Needs to be a third park @Disneyland

I actually feel crazy that this is the reality and almost no one is talking about it? Maybe 30% of Fantasmic showings in the last 18 months have been pyro-free. And somehow, @MiceChat isn't calling this out? No one is investigating? While Disney sells out Dining Packages for it?

This website is INSANELY fun!! It lets you be a Cast Member and run different attractions from parks around the world. You control rides like Soarin’, Seven Dwarves Mine Train, Tower of Terror and others. You control pre shows, the fastpass and standby line, loading and unloading and all that good stuff. So if you’re looking for something fun to do, check it out. And here’s a screenshot of how the Tower of Terror one looks. @NCucerzan I had never heard of the boardwalk resort until a few years ago so...what's changed?

It still shocks me how much Boardwalk has died off over the years. I guess that’s what happens when people take advantage of the parking to get into EPCOT without paying. Really sad to see

This is nice but even now isn't really an ideal vision of the future. Would be preferable to be able to imagine one without cars at all, instead some sort of constantly moving people of sorts
