A great life hack. Don’t stop reading literature just because you graduated college. I am reading David Copperfield by Dickens which aficionados tell me is not even the best book.
Why read great books? Maybe for the same reason we walk in nature or enjoy other forms of art—it both gives us pleasure and nurtures the soul; it makes us more interesting to ourselves and others; it’s an important diversion from the brain rot of social media, creates brain plasticity and improves our ability to think. It also builds empathy for other humans and makes us connects is to those who came before us. Lastly we can be in awe of another mortal being’s genius as is the case with Dickens whose other works I plan to read soon.

In a romantic pre-Raphaelite style, a tender moment unfolds between a handsome knight in gleaming silver armor and a beautiful woman in a flowing white gown adorned with flowers.
The knight, with a sword at his side, sits astride a brown horse with a red-gold draped saddle, leaning down affectionately toward the woman, who wears a floral crown and gazes up lovingly with long hair cascading.
She gently touches his armored hand, their faces drawing closer in a soft, intimate kiss, while the horse shifts subtly and her gown sways in a light breeze.
The scene is set in an enchanting garden overflowing with vibrant pink roses, colorful wildflowers, lush green foliage, and an ancient stone archway under soft sunlight. Captured in a smooth close-up shot with a subtle zoom-in, evoking a dreamy, enchanting atmosphere of timeless romance.
Mario Vargas Llosa: ‘A few minutes of absolute beauty. The fiery ball would sink into the sea on the horizon behind the islands of San Lorenzo and El Frontón, burning up the sky, turning the clouds pink, and for a few minutes putting on a show, both serene and apocalyptic, that signaled the onset of night.’ #readercommunity#writerscommunity

holy shit
MIT researchers just turned skin cells directly into neurons without stem cell intermediate, 100-fold efficiency boost, and they actually worked when transplanted into mouse brains
