Rubio was in Europe, Joint Chiefs chairman was at the Naval Academy graduation. After the meeting, Trump scrapped his Bedminster weekend and posted: "I feel it is important for me to remain in Washington, D.C., at the White House during this important period of time." On Tuesday he told Netanyahu he wanted to give diplomacy one more chance. By yesterday night he was leaning toward ordering a strike. Pakistan's army chief flew to Tehran for an 11th-hour push. Qatar sent a delegation too. A US official called the negotiations "agonizing," drafts going back and forth daily with no real movement. Trump has pulled back from the edge several times in 6 weeks.
