Big congrats to awwwl the authors on the @SundayTimesZA longlist. Got a couple of personal favourites I'm rooting for, it's a tough year, big competition. Also, strong cover game this year IMO.

When you discover the word 'okay' is an echo in your manuscript and you've used it like a one hundred million times. The irony is that's not okay.

And you can't edit your tweet without upgrading. Still not okay.

And THEN you notice an error in your tweet, and that's also not okay.

Some days opening that manuscript document is the hardest thing I'll do all day.

Can anyone explain to me why I am earwormed by the Parmalat ad jingle, which literally goes, "...Parmalat!" It's driving me nuts.

At first glance, I read 'calculate' as 'chocolate', and now i'm sticking with it.

Use mixed pricing: cheap seats during the week and during the day. Expensive seats during high peak times. 2. Your snacks are way too expensive! Please sell snacks cheaper & increase the range. Ppl sneak snacks in coz your snacks are too expensive. 3. Host cool movies from Netflix, Amazon Prime & Showmax on your screens. 4. Host huge sports games on your screens. 5. Thank you for using an idea I came up with years ago, but please punt it every week. Bringing back old classics. Let ppl vote. I'd love to rewatch Infinity War, Titanic, Avatar, Terminator, Bad Boys, etc on the big screen with my kids. 6. Host marathon weeks/months: Harry Potter, Lord of The Rings, The Avengers, MCU, DC Comics, Game of Thrones, etc. Let ppl buy discounted series tickets. 7. Let attendees suggest ideas & movies and series. 8. Offer schools seriously discounted tickets for bringing masses of their kids to watch. 9. Host dress-up movie days & nights. Like we did with Black Panther. Let kids dress up when coming to watch animation movies, offer prizes. 10. Host smart movies & let nerds do recorded case studies after in the cinema, with a moderator. 11. Fund movie critics on YouTube to review movies and push people to attend. You guys are mentally lazy and are intentionally destroying your own businesses. These 230 workers could easily get their jobs back if you do better. Use this, don't use this.
