I think any progressive and ambitious Premier League club should now spend whatever they like and push the boundaries way past compliance. Because if you only receive a paltry fine for adding players who materially helped you win trophies then it's worth it. Was massively pro spending rules but clubs illegal spending prior to PSR isn't being punished at all and I bet those clubs are pissing themselves, all while clubs with the money to compete with them today are having to audit every fucking toilet roll, with promising home grown players being horsetraded like meat in order to comply with PSR. Clubs and supporters should always support rules which protect our clubs from themselves at times, but dishing out fines that some clubs can find from the back of the boardroom sofa while directly profiting from the players "illegally" purchased makes a mockery of the system.

#NUFC were FORCED to sell Elliot Anderson for £35m. A year and a half later he is expected to fetch around £100m. Weve taken a £65m hit SO WE DON'T break the rules. Meanwhile actual rule breakers Chelsea win multiple PLs and cup, become a top 6 side with all the perks, £10m fine.

Everton overspent by £19.5m on a stadium and were docked 10 points. Chelsea made illegal payments to help sign players and got a fine. The Premier League is the most corrupt organisation you will ever come across. Total disgrace.

BREAKING: Chelsea have been handed a suspended one-year ban from signing first-team players, a nine-month ban from registering academy players and given a £10million fine from the Premier League relating to breaches of financial rules during Roman Abramovich's time as owner.

Can’t argue this? It’s so obvious what’s happening here it’s scary. Corruption in plain sight. The same bullshit will follow with Man City 115 charges too, I bet.

Interesting that in the Everton points deduction verdict the Premier League said “A financial penalty for a club that enjoys the support of a wealthy owner is not a sufficient penalty” and that “the requirements of deterrence, vindication of compliant clubs, and the protection of the integrity of the sport demand a sporting sanction in the form of a points deduction’. Presumably the Chelsea fine (which ultimately is just a deduction from what billion dollar Clearlake will pay to billionaire Abramovich from the £150m held back at the deal date) is then neither punishment, a deterrent or protecting the integrity of the sport? If I was an Everton or Forest fan would not be happy with this outcome.

Chris Sutton: “Sarr made such a meal of that.” Replay shows Sarr getting a shoulder to the face and then cuts to him with a bloody mouth.

Referee didn’t even realise Gudmundsson was previously on a yellow card when he booked him. We’re 45 minutes into a game, how can the officials be this lazy?
