seeing how much people can do with new super mario bros modding makes me realize that the reason there were like 6 nsmb games is probably because they just made that shit really clean and they were like "damn we should reuse this codebase it's so easy to work with"

@cl0wntism i usually dont really like a lot of these redesigns (cuz they feel like they're fixing something that aint broken) but this one is actually really nice. stays simple, plays with the colors and looks really pleasant still
