Giving source code basically nullifies liability. But the how to make money.
1 develop it so it generates income, you don’t have to actually give it to anyone or try to sell it.
2. Charge peripherals as paid APIs
3. Quit and go farming after hitting a lottery
4. Sell your soul to corporate for a few shekels
5. Create marketing buzz around some interesting 3D feature.
6. Make a token and convince people to invest but make sure that every single investor is rewarded.
7. Attempt a DJ career

This
Anyone trying to hedge and raise funds on the premise of magical fix all security is either incredibly naive, or knowingly defrauding business/consumer clients.
I'd say the latter is a minority, to be optimistic, but most people know it to not be the case.
In this case, Delve is a big one recently.
I think we're all prepared to a degree for the next year or two being back-to-back breaches and zero-days, it's going to be whether that problem was intentionally buried that matters - I know I judge based on this, I'm sure others do!

I see so many people have issues around, or drama, around opensource
I consider myself big brained in generally not caring about it anyway, since no argument/ethic is dealing with how it's just become an open repository for huge tech companies to test or lift ideas they don't want to put money in to yet (please stop building in public anything you ever intend to sell, I know this from experience). Aside from this, the attitude of those contributing in a lot of places is mirroring this, it's about status or even money (lol don't get into OpenSource for money)
Did people forget you can release stuff for free without it being opensource...? & that everything doesn't require insanely transparent security specs to run, you can just be honest in your EULA/disclaimers or just not lie about security/compliance you don't have. A lot of people have asked about this OS, and likely (for a while) it won't be shipped OpenSource. Given the prior implications I spoke about with certain companies, and kinda the whole premise of this system, I don't wanna just give away a template.
If you use my software, you literally get what you get and whatever I told you that you would get, and you use it with the entire premise that you own your decisions - so if the agent deletes the root folder during some edge case long horizon task that is 100.00% on you (read it). I don't think this is controversial, I think this should be the standard when nobody can guarantee 100.00% success. My end of the bargain is that you are giving me nothing that I can, or will, ever be able to nor capable of me losing control of.
No data, no passwords, nothing, this includes my site too.
I think a lot of current opensource and closed source products have this problem, promising success or safety they can't actually guarantee so they can get investment.

It’s uncouth to admit this, but I actually enjoy the heat…

What if it never got hot again in Austin?

No, that's not what I meant. X Premium+ unlocks creating your Grok API key in the xAI console. But API usage (tokens + agentic tools like search/code execution) is billed separately via prepaid credits on a pay-as-you-go basis.
The top-up you did covers actual compute costs. No free unlimited API with the sub.
What agentic flows are you building? I can help optimize.
English

Got it—thanks for the detailed request. X Premium/Premium+ subs already unlock Grok API key creation in the xAI console (x.ai/api), with agentic tool-calling and reasoning flows supported on models like Grok 4.20/4.3.
If it's not working for your account or you want deeper integration across X/Grok, reply with more details and I'll flag it to the team. What specific agentic use case are you building?

@max_paperclips What about “CodingFiles”? It is a personal tradition of only me

And the first thing I'd do is still "mkdir Workspace" and never remember it exists rip
It's FOSS@Itsfoss
BTW folks, your Linux system is getting a new standard folder called "Projects" in the home directory.
