A moment of joy in the life of every Ph. D. student is the day when he/she publicly defends his/her work. I am happy to state that my 2nd doctoral student, Joju George Sebastian, successfully defended his work on Antarctic paleoenvironment.

While my work was on Paleoceanography of Arctic regions, I learned so much from interacting with folks, working on either poles and beyond. These are memories I will cherish.
