@robpizzola 100% agree. Always entertaining, completely dramatic, away goals adding to that adventure. The new format and boring and indigestible. It even feels less prestigious to me.

Maybe I’m just old school, but I hate the new Champions League format. The old group stage... home and away vs the same 3 teams... built some actual rivalry, especially if you got drawn with the same team in back-to-back years. You learned the matchups, you dreaded the away trip, you circled the “must win” spots. Now it just feels so random. You get an epic match between two teams and you can't look forward to another one. 24 of 36 teams moving on from the Group Stage feels like you can still get rewarded for playing like trash. I'm not a fan. Am I alone?

@premierleague Why is the retake even allowed? Throw ins don't get retakes. Nothing else gets a retake. If a pro footballer is unable to strike a stationary ball in one clean strike, he shouldn't be allowed a retake. Absolute rubbish

Like rugby, a final horn/hooter means final play (unless it’s a penalty, free-kick or corner). One team will be looking to kick out for a throw, or both teams will be going for it.
