I do not regret standing with Israel and Jews. I do now realize I underestimated how politically homeless it would leave me. Because the Islamists and the right wing that hate Jews attack me daily for being trans since it’s how they can hurt me. The trans community, which has been hijacked by progressives and anti-Americanism, attacks me relentlessly. I’m ironically in a position where “my people” are the Jews. And not because of religion or birthright, but because they are the only ones that seem to understand that the West is under attack.

Today, I stood in front of a judge representing myself, and won. A South Carolina state court attempted to silence a sitting Member of Congress with an unconstitutional and unenforceable gag order for doing my job and speaking out. Instead of backing down, I pushed back. I successfully moved this case to federal court, where constitutional questions belong. Opposing counsel even suggested I should be jailed for tweeting about injustice. This is not the rule of law, it’s lawfare. And it failed. The First Amendment, the Speech or Debate Clause, and federal supremacy protections exist for moments exactly like this, to prevent intimidation, harassment, and abuse of the legal system to silence elected representatives and the people they serve. I took on the establishment alone and prevailed because the Constitution is clear. Free speech is not a crime. Free speech is protected. And no court should ever be weaponized to shut it down. I will continue fighting this case in federal court, standing up for my constituents, and defending the truth, no matter how powerful the interests are that want it buried. I yield to no one who seeks to silence the truth. 🇺🇸

And thousands more are being killed and maimed every day. Civilian casualties in Gaza are not evidence of genocide. They are the tragic outcome of war. And in Gaza, the ratio of civilian loss to combatant loss was the one of the lowest ratios in history in urban warfare (according to experts see @Spencerguard) because of actions taken by the IDF to minimize civilian casualties.

There has never been a genocide in Gaza. There has never been a massacre in Gaza. There has never been the intentional killing of civilians in Gaza. Meanwhile, all of this is happening in Iran right now.

There are only 15 million Jews in the world and 8 million of them live in Israel. There are many, many, many more people that hate Jews. This creates a game Jews cannot win. There are large social rewards for holding Israel to double standards, and more minor social rewards for holding mildly antisemitic views. Inversely, there’s a massive social price to be paid by being pro Israel and pro Jew. Anyone can read my mentions here or especially on threads and have the price of this illustrated very clearly. It’s not just that I am attacked for those views. It’s that they declare me a non-person and attacking me on any basis becomes fair game. My mentions are an avalanche insults about my looks, me being trans and quite literally suggesting I should be killed. This is why standing with Israel and Jews ultimately comes down to integrity. It’s not just that there is no reward. It’s that there is very literally a cost. Most people are so self-centered, they will simply ignore the issue.
