I generate single-file apps every day with LLMs. But: - Where should these files live? - What should i use to make them? I wrote about where I think lightweight software is heading. Not the AI part — the infrastructure. …mbing-of-everyday-magic.hyperclay.com

@jamonholmgren Sounds like a good system, but I'd be worried about how much work would build up for me to review. I'd be worried I couldn't review all of it to a high quality. How do you make the agents loop? And how long do they run during the night? All night or just for a few hours?

My current agentic workflow is about 5x faster, better quality, I understand the system better, and I’m having fun again. My previous workflows have left me exhausted, overwhelmed, and feeling out of touch with the systems I was building. They also degraded quality too much. This is way better. I’m not ready to describe in detail. It’s still evolving a bit. But I’ll give you a high level here. I call this the Night Shift workflow.

@TXMCtrades I think the main problem is you came across as more certain than you should've been, so you're probably worried you lead some people down the wrong path. Look at how Benjamin Cowen talks in his Youtube videos: he always bakes in uncertainty and probabilities. Do that.

I have multiple friends pushing me to create content again, namely videos but really any kind of content. But I have some brutal creative blocks and negative feelings about what I was doing before. How do I break free of this? Why was it easier before? I seem stuck in mud.

I've been experimenting with an editor that persists visual edits directly to source. It feels like a canvas, but it's the actual application. In this example it queues your changes before saving. Behind the scenes it reconciles the DOM with HMR so everything stays seamless. On the surface though, it looks effortless.

Corruption is choosing the selfish path in a cooperative game. If you have enough power, it works out for a while. But there are *natural* consequences: you destroy alliances, erode trust, create enemies. Eventually, those natural consequences catch up to you. I believe we're testing our system right now and seeingif our institutions can survive blatant corruption, sure. But more than that, we're testing something more fundamental: can corruption work out for the corrupt over the long term? I believe we will get a very definitive answer.

Corruption done openly without fear is worse than corruption behind the scenes because a lack of consequences openly flaunts our system of laws and norms. It spotlights that there are two different sets of rules for regular people and elites. That's how you destroy institutions. Visible corruption is only a net good when it leads directly to swift, strong, negative consequences. None of that is happening today.

Holding elected leaders accountable is directly correlated to how much personal discomfort voters are willing to impose on themselves (by being flexible with their votes and support) in order to achieve it. Most people are too soft to venture beyond the lazy walls of groupthink.

Overvalued, non-viable, or straight up fraud. If Tether's putting money into this business they're already dead. Caveat Emptor in who you actually let invest in your company.
Steven Schwartz 🦅@cultured

We are excited to announce that @tether, the largest stablecoin company in the world, is making a strategic investment of $200M into Whop, valuing us at $1.6B. Our partnership with Tether marks a major step in building the world's largest internet market. Tether is committed to enabling everyone in the world to participate in the new internet economy. The way humans work and create value is changing fast. The world needs both an open internet market giving people a platform to conduct business, as well as a transparent payments network. Tether and Whop together will work to bring a sustainable income to billions of people throughout the world. There is enormous opportunity when you combine Tether’s global scale and wallet technology with Whop’s community of next generation entrepreneurs. My co-founders and I met as teenagers on the internet selling software. We first launched Whop as a way for us to sell our own software to people in Facebook and Discord forums. Prior to Whop, the place we found customers was different from the place we collected payments, different from the place we talked to customers, and there wasn’t a central place to “do business” on the internet. In partnership with Tether, we will be scaling infrastructure in real-time for new business models as they emerge across the globe. The job is just getting started. 🚀

How Grand Theft Auto 3 broke new frontiers and changed the gaming industry forever How DB Weiss, David Benioff, and George RR Martin have each contributed to fumbling the biggest bag in fantasy entertainment history The 2017 Houston Astros World Series win that teed up a baseball dynasty, and the cheating scandal that tainted its legacy. How the developed world plus China fertility has all been below replacement rate for more than a generation (or multiple), and the long delayed boomer workforce exodus is finally exposing that fragility in the west via low natural births, low labor supply and low demand. This is colliding with perhaps-too-early narratives about AI driven labor displacement imminently killing jobs, and an administration that has interrupted the flow of data collection, presenting an unenviable challenge for labor focused analysis. How the fabric of the global economic order is unraveling due to imbalances of its own creation, at the elbow turn of a multi decade bond bull market, and the various ways this resembles the first part of the 20th century. How the deep state, intelligence apparatus, and private aerospace have worked quite successfully over decades to suppress civilizationally impactful technologies and scientific discoveries from the public including so-called zero point energy, antigravitic propulsion, and interactions with nonhuman intelligence, among other things. Going as far as to stigmatize, propagandize, and even use violence to protect its secrets.

Chrome DevTools has a built-in filesystem proxy: you can locally override any HTML/JS/CSS on any site. Incredibly powerful. 🦸 But I just got burned. 🙈 Once enabled, it silently shadows any local file you open in Chrome without asking.

Remote state should feel like local state. Mjölnir.js: what if db.users.find(str) was just frontend JS, whether you’re hacking locally or running search across a distributed fleet? Time for browsers to let web citizens make the web.

#Tether watch! Just a short one today. With the recent drops the USTUSD correlation took a pause (cause volatile VS non-volatile asset), but it is still very much in play. The ~2 weeks correlation especially is damning. Last picture shows best fit. ~$75K BTC's the limit rn.
