Still have five boxes of Shriek: An Afterword hardcovers. The one novel of mine that both legit tanked and also it's my best book if continued emails from readers are any indication. Lot of weddings using lines from it, which is hilarious since I cribbed from Jewish prayer books.

Why ICWA is important to me: I was a baby when a judge gave custody to my white dad. Despite it being a time when courts overwhelmingly favored mothers in custody battles, my Native mom didn't stand a chance in rural Alabama. The judge decided I needed a "Christian household."

@disaster_march What kind of book? Books to Prisoners programs need some kinds more than others (like they would love some fantasy paperbacks). If they're worth shipping to donate, I work with a used bookstore that benefits a cat rescue. We always take books.
