I'm sorry but most of the complaints about The Boys season 5 have, ultimately, been about how the pacing or character work will affect the finale, so I feel like it's really disingenuous to put it in the trash category just yet. Like, jesus, at least wait until tomorrow.

I feel like they are going to give Homelander the most degrading death ever, but somehow in a way that doesn’t even really benefit the show’s narrative or feel deep at all. I feel like Kripke is probably gonna waste the most anticipated moment of the entire show mocking the right in a way that’s just crass and tasteless. Like I hope that Homelander and Butcher get a very physically and emotionally volatile fight to the death, but they’re just gonna be surface-level about it because the show has kind of… really devolved into that… I swear I don’t watch lackluster leftist slop, guys; it wasn’t like this when I committed to watching it. …Unless the finale ends up surpassing my expectations… which it would have to do by FAR.

Homelander being turned into an immortal in episode 6 and then being killed 2 episodes later is a bad writing lmao.
