I do this with codex all the time. Ask it to review code for bugs and it will tell you all good, tell it there is a bug and it will LOOP AND LOOP and will find issues.

💡Recent insight: gaslighting @claudeai seems to improve code quality >90% of the time. “You overengineered this, there is a simpler way” “There is a smaller delta that buys us most of the benefits” “There is a more elegant way” “This is not architecturally coherent” …before I even read its code. 😆

i have seen enough proof now that using a coding agent is a deep skill it's confusing because the people you see heavily using them produce horrible results but that's because it's a skill! you can get better and the ceiling seems pretty high - this is very exciting to me

Model training is a game where GPUs and data are an overwhelming advantage. So when Recraft beats xAI, DeepSeek, Meta, BFL, Microsoft, etc. with a tiny fraction of the resources, the conclusion is: big-company ML talent selection is broken. Very different from "AI experts" :-)

Anthropic ships Opus 4.8 in May and it’s a pretty good release. Too bad OpenAI already dropped GPT-5.5 in April.

Last week SQLite updated their AGENTS.md and removed the "currently" from the line about not accepting agentic code. It's permanent now. They'll still take bug reports from agents if you attach a reproducible test case, and patches for docs are fine too. But actual PRs? Hard no.
