It’s great to have Madeline (left) home from college. Today she and her former high school teammate; Ally spent the entire day at Belleair - golf, pickleball, lunch and swimming. This weekend I get a rematch with her at Belleair. SHE IS GOING DOWN!!! #NonGolfHistory

@SHistorians Always love the golf posts. And love the plus fours color. Only odd thing about the picture is someone in plus fours toting a bag. The vintage look appears authentic when a caddie accompanies the player, but getting a caddie to dress in vintage duds would seem a bit much!

5PM update on Hurricane Milton. 4 hours ago the eye was going right through Tampa. 2 hours ago it was going through the Golffice. Now it’s showing the hurricane’s eye missing all of Hillsborough County. It could switch back but it’s rare. Prayers to Florida’s West Coast.

I am walking around downtown Tampa today and I can tell you this- the feel is different today - there is a sense of dread. The good news about this past storm surge is I believe most if not all will heed the evacuation warnings - where in the past they might have ignored them.

A view from my Tampa office as Hurricane Milton makes its way to Tampa Bay as a Category 4 Hurricane. Hopefully it slows its roll. #StaySafeTampa

Tennessee gets knocked off by Arkansas. Tennessee’s QB ran out of bounds with no time left. How do you not heave it up for a chance??? In the huddle he was smiling like he knew they were going to score and win. Then that… @Vol_Football @RazorbackFB

Had this dream last night … Was playing golf with Tiger. Huge crowd. My turn to tee off. Couldn’t find my caddy. Looked through the crowd for what seemed like forever. Finally found him and asked for my driver, but my caddy (who was a 10 yr old kid) handed me something more like a putter. I searched through my bag, found my driver, and was headed to the tee box, but by then Tiger had hit, and he and crowd were heading up the fairway. Official gave me a 2 stroke penalty and told me to start on #2, so off i went in a cart driven by Justin Thomas. Along the way, i saw a tree. Not just any run of the mill tree, but an amazing multi-colored tree that seemed to emit its own source of light. And i noticed it. Now, dreams are often best interpreted through the lens of symbolism, but I’m going to take this one as providing a straightforward message. Today, in real life, I’m playing in a 3man scramble tournament at our club with 2 of my golf buddies. Should be fun. And I hope I’ll be absorbed in the game. But this dream reminds me to notice nature. Not because doing so will make me mindful, put me in the zone, and help me hit a great shot. Truth is, being ‘in the moment’ might help me hit my best drive of the day. But I could also be as centered as Bruce Lee and hack one into the cabbage. Today, I hope to really notice a tree simply because a tree is a good thing to see. May or may not help my score, but such a moment will be good for the soul.

Going to convert a scorecard holder into a yardage book for my wedge shots. I assume I know your #1 answer, but let’s pick two you would use, because I doubt I would use that one all the time. Welcome your thoughts. #golfhistory

Just when I think I am doing well, Madeline emails me a video of her hitting her 9 iron as far as I do (150 yards). Her swing is so fluid, My swing is more glue. So envious of my daughter!

@SHistorians The money will unlikely ever allow for the long term focus required for another to reach 10. I think Scheffler has the best chance to end a career with the most majors since Tiger.

@SHistorians Good fun and not that surprising. Same dynamic could have easily happened with mens team USA vs NBA Allstars.

OMG the WNBA All-Stars beat Team USA. How much do you want to bet that this is the last time this game ever happens??? Did anyone see the face of Team USA at the trophy ceremony? BRUTAL!!!

Instead of being at the Open I am playing at Belleair. Took some clients out for golf- one of those terrible days when your driver and irons are amazing and yet you just can’t get the ball in the hole! Weird day of plugged balls, a 4 putt and every mistake you can make close up.

One of the things I love about traveling to new courses/clubs is experiencing the food they may be known for cooking. The burger on Ben’s Porch and the blackened beef tenderloin nachos in the clubhouse at Sand Hills GC are legit. What’s a fav you’ve experienced?
