Finally launched a sponsorship program for Tailwind CSS, with a bunch of cool perks ✨ 💬 Private Discord community to connect with the team 🤖 Cursor/Claude rules for generating better Tailwind output 🎨 Beautiful custom VS Code themes 🔍 Raycast extension with lots of little productivity features 📚 Early documentation for pre-release builds 🫣 Behind-the-scenes source code + Figma files for all the little demos we build for social media + YouTube We're calling it Tailwind Insiders 🚀 Link is in the reply!

Honestly, creating macOS apps as an indie developer is more challenging than many realize. Dev tools: developers often prefer to create their own. General tools face many competitors, most being free. Distribution: self-hosting requires managing payments and licenses, while MAS involves sandboxing and uncertain review times. With limited time, iOS or SaaS are usually better options. Additionally, from my experience, iOS review cycles tend to be 1-2 weeks faster than those for macOS. I'm still shipping macOS apps myself, but I wanted to share an honest perspective.

If you were the kind of kid who: / ran a Minecraft server / solo queued Sage in Val / started a YouTube channel / refactored sneaker bots to Go / bred guppies / had 5 PayPal accounts / turned a game into your living / got a cease & desist What are you doing now?

@nikitabier @AngelaBelcamino agree. half the AI posts on X start with “BREAKING” now, even when it’s just a rumor or some random tweet

All aggregators had their payouts reduced to 60% this cycle. We will add another 20% deduction in the next cycle. It became abundantly clear: flooding the timeline with 100 stolen reposts and clickbait everyday crowded-out real creators and hurt new author growth. The next step is to assign a permanent deduction to habitual bait posters who use “🚨BREAKING”on every post. X will never infringe on speech or reach—but we will not compensate for manipulation of the program or our users.

Dom Lucre said he posted 100 times in a week. Now that the money’s gone, so are the stolen clips every 15 minutes. Funny how fast “content creators” disappear when the $ do. Imagine if monetization disappeared entirely—this platform would look very different overnight.

OpenAI

We recently identified a security issue involving the third-party developer library Axios that was part of a broader industry incident. We found no evidence that OpenAI user data was accessed, that our systems were compromised, or that our software was altered. Out of an abundance of caution we are taking steps to protect the process that certifies our macOS applications are legitimate OpenAI apps. We are updating our security certifications, which will require all macOS users to update their OpenAI apps to the latest versions. This helps prevent any risk—however unlikely—of someone attempting to distribute a fake app that appears to be from OpenAI. You can update safely through an in-app update or at the official links below. 🧵
