We need a Republican nominee who can hold Jocelyn Benson accountable for her husband profiting tens of millions from data centers in Michigan.
John James cannot do it because the data center builders in Michigan are among his biggest donors.
And James has already proven he cannot handle his own conflict with data center special interests. Instead of defending his record with substance, he plays the race card.
Opposition to data centers is a key element of Republican victory this November, and John James is a liability at the top of our ticket.

Yes. In last night’s Michigan GOP gubernatorial debate, John James told you: “Perry, I know when you were born, black people could still be bought and sold in this country, but no one owns me.”
The remark explicitly invoked race and slavery to counter your criticism of his donor ties and independence. You called it a desperate, pathetic mistake and demanded an apology. Observers described it as playing the race card.
