There's a slight crack on the handle of my airfryer.
Figured I could replace the handle.
The cost of fixing the handle is half the price of a brand new one.
It's so problematic how many things with cosmetic damage are not worth fixing.

i wonder if left adaptations of the US-progressive narrative ("the arc of the moral universe...bends toward justice" etc) are less likely to be successful/ convincing/ believable in a period of imperial decline, when progress seems no longer the main historical structure
