@DanHanzus @AroundTheNFL Questions for nfl research. When is the last time that a team faked going for it on 4th and short and actually succeeded in getting the other team to go offside? I must have seen this attempted around 100 times over the last years but never seen it actually work.

@RussellOkung With a cap in place and minimum spending, guaranteeing contracts would not cost anything to teams. It would just change who gets that money. Contracts would be for less money.

The majority of contracts in the MLB, NBA, and NHL are guaranteed… but not in the NFL. This means a football player can sign a 4-year contract, buy a house for his family, and get fired shortly after. Why does this happen? (GUARANTEED CONTRACT THREAD)

@Jason_OTC Why have the Steelers not gone after AB’s signing bonus or part of it? His contract must have language allowing the ream to recuperate a portion since he deliberately missed a game. Quite odd that AB gets a trade and the consequences is a new signing bonus and guaranteed money!

Getting questions about AB after PFT report on roster bonus payment structure. Many roster bonuses work similar to that as do signing bonuses. Ive never heard of not having to account for that in a trade. Salary advances yes but not earned bonuses that havent been paid
