@ChaseDaniel I think a fair question to ask in this debate is would the players side end up giving up some money on this to make it happen. Personally id hate to see 18 games for grass as a cba thing, but credits for grass fields could be realistic

It’s crazy that the NFL still won’t commit to grass in every stadium. For a league that generates billions, this shouldn’t even be a discussion. It’s such an easy way to make players happy….just put grass down.

Biggest takeaway is the league really needs some young qbs to really step up their game. Also its a good time if you can get your starter on a reasonable contract rather than the bloated contract

You are not interpreting the numbers correctly. The numbers are what remains of the cap value from the original bonuses. The $8.79M reflects revaluing the bonus after the refund is received, its not the refund itself. Teams also receive credits in their adjustments for prior years.

Steady and often under appreciated, there was a long stretch of #Jets football when a healthy Chad meant playoffs (2002, 2004, 2006) and an injured Chad meant bottoming out (2003, 2005, 2007) that alternated yearly until they punted him for Favre and then he of course went on to win the AFC East for Miami...(similar to #Jets, their last QB to with the division). Signature two plays (IMO) remain the East Tennessee Dead Leg vs Buffalo and the deep post to Santana Moss with the arm flex to slideline after vs SD in playoffs...

The NFL is certainly within its rights to say no supplemental draft but i do think its a bit weird of them to decline the petition. Teams still have time to vet Sorsby and may have already been doing so. The nfl would have plenty of time to investigate and suspend when/if he was selected and signed to a team.

Plenty of ways to spin the Pitts contract numbers and he is facing a real uncertain offensive situation, but IMO its a win for the Falcons to sign a TE picked 4th overall coming off a 900+ yard season to a contract that did not reset the market for the position.
