@poliastro_py @ProjectJupyter Great question. Right now, it targets the stable releases of JupyterLab (I've tested on the 0.35.x series), since that's what people install.
I'll migrate to JupyterLab 1 when it's released (unless someone knows how to support both at the same time?)

@pascalbugnion @ProjectJupyter Is it supposed to work in @ProjectJupyter Lab 1.0.0rc0? `jupyter lab build` says the extension is outdated every time, and the launcher does not show. In 0.35.6 worked beautifully, though!

jupyterlab-sql now has a database explorer: view tables in your databases and send custom queries through a point-and-click interface, all within @ProjectJupyter Lab. More information on the GitHub page: github.com/pbugnion/jupyt…

There is a custom query interface where you can just type plain SQL for joining tables together.

jupyterlab-sql uses sqlalchemy, so you should be able to use it with MS SQL server. If not, shout out here: github.com/pbugnion/jupyt…

Oh wow, this looks pretty neat. Quickly tested it with BDNYC's sqlite database. Have to see how it behaves with Microsoft SQL Server :P

@Vidar_TF @ProjectJupyter Thank you! I definitely want to add sqlite, as soon as I / someone who understands SQlite behaviour can work through the concurrency issues.
At the moment, any two subsequent queries are not guaranteed to happen from the same thread, which wreaks havoc with sqlite.
