One was rescinded after his challenge broke a players ankle, the other upheld for a slight pull on someone's hair. Doesn't make any sense.

Feels like he’s one of the standouts alongside Semenyo, ready to take that jump from the mid-table sides The defensive duel numbers are particularly encouraging even though he appears a little lightweight. Deceptively physical/strong & ridiculous dribbling/close-control to compensate on-ball. This team is missing this kind of player badly. Someone who can roam & connect things. That special close-control & ball-retention. What we lost from Sancho/Felix, but a version physical enough for Maresca to actually truly thrive in the PL & excel OOP.

Going to watch Ndiaye closely this weekend when he plays us. Missed out on Rogers/Kudus, but he feels like one of that ilk we chased this summer. Pure dribbler/hooper who can retain & create spark (#10/LW/RW). Need to assess his potential centrally.

@MelissaReddy_ it’s a very subjective call but when you see previous calls of this nature then you see why it is given. This happened to Sigurdsson because he was on the floor having been fouled and couldn’t possibly have been in the line of sight. Obv this is Liverpool so more is made of it.

The assistant ref flags for offside because he believes “Robertson's in line of vision, right in front of the keeper… I think he's line of vision. I think he's (Donnarumma) been impacted, mate.” That was clearly and obviously wrong. Robertson did not impede Donnarumma’s view of the ball, which Howard Webb himself admits. Then there’s all sorts of contorting to explain how Robertson ‘could have’ - NOT DID! - impact Donnarumma. Webb says his duck “could still cause hesitation from the goalkeeper” but the footage undercuts this. We’ve had loads of evidence from ex-pros - those who have played between the sticks as well - on why Donnarumma’s movement and reaction was not affected by Robertson. All we’ve got the opposite way is hypothetical ‘could haves.’ A reminder the law states ‘making an obvious action which CLEARLY impacts on the ability of an opponent to play the ball.’ Well done boys, good process🙃
