This HGV driver failed to adjust their speed as they past a horse & its rider near Bagstone, South Glos, rider struggled to keep the spooked horse out of the hedge. Thanks to the riders #JourneyCam driver received 5 points & £520 fine/costs (WDC) at Bath Mags Court. @BritishHorse

How can someone who was banned from driving twice already & who then goes on to kill a child
(while 'irritated' by the slow-moving traffic and weaving in/out of a bus lane at up to 62MPH)

He had shown that he was not fit to be behind the wheel of a motor vehicle
yet because of reluctance to actually remove the driving privilege from people not fit to hold that privilege a young child is dead a family destroyed

A speeding driver who killed a 12-year-old crossing the road, has been sentenced to eight years and nine months in jail and disqualified from driving for seven years.
He had 2 previous driving bans.

Today, 29th October is National Day of Remembrance for Horses Lost on UK roads.
In 2023 at least 66 horses lost their lives on UK roads due to careless driving. 66 horses who were loved by their owners and were taken too soon. 66 horses who could have been alive today
