Those who questioned the integrity of Sam Nicholson owe the boy an apology.
The @MotherwellFC player swore on his kids life that the ball didn’t strike his hand.
This new video clip is the clearest evidence of that.
I’m looking at you @shebahn @chris_sutton73
English

@WilsonHead27 That literally makes no sense. The league is always won by the best team who have the most points. Not sure if you’ve worked that out? You do realise all teams get crap decisions contributing to points won and lost?
English

@patjohnburke @Blackpoolfc0702 If Hearts get a last minute off-side goal to draw, then that’s ok because they’ve been top for more weeks than anybody else and the title is won over the season? I hope it happens.
English

@patjohnburke @EwenDCameron @shebahn @chris_sutton73 Sometimes they’re won via lost emails in spam folders.
English

@dazmak24 Well, that’s not correct is it? Celtic would still have had the chance to win the league on goal difference. Idiot. Do keep up.
English

@patjohnburke @EwenDCameron @shebahn @chris_sutton73 If that penalty was awarded then Hearts are champions. So yeh leagues are won by single penalties. Idiot.
English

@Blackpoolfc0702 So a league is not won over the course of a season. Ok 👍
English

@patjohnburke @EwenDCameron @shebahn @chris_sutton73 Technically thats bull shit they are won on one result, let's face it that one result had that bent ref not done that Hearts would be champions
English

@JohnRobboRB Of course there is. Hearts have it all in their hands, draw and they win the league. Celtic have to win. Been completely missed in the nonsense spotted last couple of days.
English

@patjohnburke Yes of course it could have cost them the league. Atrocious or not they were still in with a chance of winning the league. All wrong decisions have an effect but at least they had enough time to rectify it. There’s no time to rectify for either team in the final game
English

@JohnRobboRB So Celtic could have lost the league because of the Hibs handball goal a few weeks ago? Not because they’ve been utterly atrocious for most of the year? Got you 👍
English

@patjohnburke @EwenDCameron @shebahn @chris_sutton73 That’s nonsense !! When you have two teams neck and neck going into the last game of the season then leagues definitely are decided on single penalty calls.
English

@SalopianKillie For all clubs then? Constant cheating by the refs for all clubs? That’s what you’re saying?
English

@patjohnburke @EwenDCameron @shebahn @chris_sutton73 Bit of perspective consistent cheating is though
English

@MattMcGlone9 Spot on Matt. The mental gymnastics from some to avoid admitting what’s right in front of them is wild. The photos don't lie 🍀
English

@mstewart_23 @chris_sutton73 The inconsistency is glaring. You dismissed the Hibs goal v Celtic handball as "inconclusive" but are now scrutinising this to death. When personal bias starts overriding professional analysis, your "serious pundit" tag disappears. Long way back for you now.
English

“So Trusty…Is it an hand?”
“I wonder if it’s a raised hand, the hand”
“The arm up, the left arm”
@chris_sutton73 looking at the same single camera image couldn’t even come close to definitively saying what’s happened, yet the referee gives it in 15 seconds.

🟢 Here's the incident that resulted in Celtic's winning penalty at Fir Park, following a VAR check! Motherwell vs Celtic & Hearts vs Falkirk reaction | Sky Sports Football now 📺
English

@JimDelahunt The 'sad for the game' rhetoric feels incredibly selective. Hard to call this the 'worst ever' when clear handballs like the one for Hibs against Celtic go unpunished. The desire for a tight title race seems to be overriding the technical fact that it was a handball.
English

Got to agree with Gary on this one. Not anti Celtic. Not pro Hearts. Just sad for the game.
Gary Lineker@GaryLineker
This might be the worst VAR decision I’ve seen (and there’s a lot of competition). Extraordinary given the significance.
English

@GrahamSpiers The real story isn't the fan’s reaction, it's the pundits! The lack of fair observation from those paid to provide it has been startling. We’ve seen an over-the-top, almost hysterical reaction to a single decision tonight from all platforms! Embarrassing 😳
English

@BarryAnderson_ I think it’s pretty much gone now mate. The whole building. I assume they’ll be trying to stop
It getting to Central’s roof. All from a Vape shop by all accounts. Mental, such an iconic part of Glasgow.
English

@patjohnburke Horrendous mate. You'd like to think they could rebuild it but I'm not sure that would happen.
English

@MattMcGlone9 Players looked to have chucked it last night. They obviously don’t believe in the manager or his ability to coach the team. Had nearly a month now and no improvement, in fact it’s worse. Ideology manager who won’t adapt/change how he plays no matter the result. Not going to work.
English

@McLaughlin_1888 Was on one of the tours on Friday night and you kindly took a few photos. The evening tours with the light show and the food was brilliant value and really well done by you and your colleagues. Well done 👍
Merry Christmas when it comes.
English

I won't lie. Fraser.
Each to their own.
Well intended, but, for me, this is pretty much the opposite of 'brilliant'.
I cringed from start to finish. 😃🙈
Fraser@Fras1967
Brilliant 👏

@JohnBishop100 Great picture and great post. The steps mean so much to so many. ‘Every champion was once a contender who refused to give up.’ Go and smash it tonight.
English

This picture was taken this morning without me knowing but I am so glad it was. This is a picture that captures decades of reflection. I first sat on top of the Rocky steps in Philadelphia when I was 19 and I was spending the summer coaching football woth North American Soccer Camps. I had dropped out of college and had no idea of what I was going to do when I got back to England.
I am now 57. I have been married to @melbish1, who I was lucky to find two years after I first sat here, for 31 years. I am a father to 3 sons who are now men in their own right and plotting their own path in the world and tonight I will be stood in a comedy club making strangers laugh in the first show of my first US/Canada tour.
My 19 year old self would never have imagined this is how it would be. Sometimes it’s only when you go back to where you once sat that you realise have far you have gone . So much to be grateful for between then and now 🙏

@NicolaSturgeon @IainFer @Daily_Record @Sunday_Mail @ayrracecourse So sorry to hear this. I remember meeting Iain on a number of occasions through the mid to late 90’s when I was working in newspapers. A good man who was always happy to help and offer advice.
English

💔 My wonderful Uncle Iain @iainfer, known to many in the journalist world, has passed away.
Iain was the editor of several Ayrshire papers in his younger days and later assistant editor at the @Daily_Record & @Sunday_Mail. He was latterly head of PR @ayrracecourse 1/

@GordonJMccabe Great post! Appreciate this is geographical issue but if you ever get a chance to try an Aulds Fudge Donut then you’ll know that they are by far the best in Scotland. West of Scotland Bakers!
English

@BarryAnderson_ Definitely something special about this team. Fantastic result 🍻
English

Watched Scotland for 35 years+. Lost count of how many times they've lost late goals & surrendered. Winning 2-1 after being 1-0 down on 87 minutes and playing mince is a strange feeling. But I love it. Terrific belief. Three wins. Top of the group. Whisky time. 🥃
