@rudxane1 For sure. There are times when I feel I must have been in some altered state to understand the processes in. some of my sketches.

I spend a lot of time on new work, not just to code more but to slowly understand how brilliant i was when i made it up

This is entirely true, BTW. if you step away, it is still that itch in the back of your mind, I have likened being an artist to secular clergy in many ways, like Kandinsky exploring the spiritual component, and that it is driven by "inner Necessity" (calling), and I think Rothko would agree. Roman Verostko and I had these sorts of talks.

RIP to the big man

Most of the time, actually. Been doing more. A lot of my issues stem from thinking about the chain as a provenance archive, whether I want to at least break even, whether traditional galleries work better for meor whether I want to be throwing money into blockchains. As a tradnewmedia curator, i understand where this puts me. I'm someone in the history books, but relatively. quiet since I came back from Dubai. I think teaching digital art has taken more time than I want. However, I. enjoy and respect the community out here, and this is why i keep riding the edges of the Venn Diagram

Initial feedback for my ideas on @postalgorism are very positive. Very grateful for the faith given to a leap meant to open next steps in canonical space.

2. this art is also highly relational; its neo-relational aesthetics in the age of ai agents + claude opus that's why, combined w/ above "living systems of systems" idea, i describe this kind of art as "cyber relational aesthetics" highlighting its cybernetic roots

what's been interesting me for months and i'm working on how to articulate across several pieces, is something quite simple: an obsession with ✨artists using complex systems to build living worlds but for me the *really* exciting stuff is more complicated...

What would you name this kitten

This is what I mean by postalgorism. I took the piece that I would lay plot and also throw it in my headset to trace through XR. The headset isn’t necessary, perfect, and the way it shows the piece mapped onto the paper.

A Postalgorist Statement. By Patrick Lichty. Postalgorism is art made after the classical algorist model, in which algorithmic form remains central but authorship becomes distributed across artist intention, computational systems, and hybrid workflows. It extends algorism rather than rejecting it, shifting the artist’s role from sole coder of the originating procedure to orchestrator of algorithmic emergence. As a prosthetic art, postalgorism describes practices in which algorithms extend cognition, perception, and making, including the generation of analog works that arise from computational or cybrid conditions.

@GaloAndStuff HDR. My partner and I were at the Gallery last fall and saw this guy from Minneapolis who did work that looked like it was either AI or rendered 3-D, and we were told that it was photography. I did some research and learned that it was exactly this.

Can someone explain how real estate photos get that super bright crispy look? Is it multiple exposures layered together? Why did this become the default style?
