Congratulate me. Just got rid of my biggest business problem of the year. This truck. It’s the physical manifestation of bad business execution. Painful. Really embarrassing. We put well over 25k in this truck over the past year to keep it running. We sold it for 2.5k. What were we thinking putting so much money into this truck? We weren’t. We were surviving. We moved from problem to problem - from week to week. Then we looked up and realized that in aggregate we had spent 10x the value of the truck. WHAT?! Guys - you will make mistakes. Like this. Well…hopefully not like this now that you have read about me being stupid. Just keep moving. And congratulate me for getting rid of this rolling money pit.

@LeadershipAcad1 Enjoyed your episode on green grind. I like your mindset of doing what you’re good at, ie. embracing residential maintenance model and going all in, not taking on every service available to commercial and residential customers. The pull to add services is real, but not necssssry

I had a dream that changed my perspective. It might change yours as well. I’ve been frustrated at work. And anxious. We are Implementing EOS and it’s exposing myriad issues. Everywhere I look, I see problems that need solutions. My dream was fuzzy (as many dreams are) but I awoke reminded that these are opportunities - not just problems. I can lead with joy rather than anxiety. Importantly- I don’t have to lower my standards, but rather, I can raise them and those of the team while still viewing the positive opportunity (rather than the negative problem). Subtle shift that has changed: 1) the way I communicate 2) my personal emotions So how do you do it? And how do I maintain it? …have more dreams? Haha - not reliable. I will remind you, if you remind me. Deal?
