WR Efton Chism was tasked with watching a cut up of some Danny Amendola routes a couple days ago by Josh McDaniels. These routes are straight from the Amendola/Edelman tree. In a packed receiving room, let's see if Chism can separate himself over the preseason, and make the cut.

Cinderella, where are you? This will be the first time EVER that teams seeded No. 1-4 have avoided upsets in back-to-back tournaments (since the bracket expanded in 1985). The last time we saw major chaos was 2024 (14 Oakland & 13 Yale).

For the 2nd straight year, no teams seeded 13-16 won a 1st round game in the NCAA Tourney. The last time that happened was 1985 and 1986. NIL. Portal. NET. Take your pick, but the NCAA got what it wanted. And killed our greatest sporting event in the process.

This was a rough Friday of March Madness, no question. No, I am not giving up on the concept of the big upset. You can if you’d like to, I do not live my life that way.

Before March Madness 2025, here are the years where all seeds No. 1-4 advanced without an opening round upset: '17, '07, '04, '00, '94. Could be back-to-back tournaments without a No. 1-4 seed going down (unless 16 PVAM, 15 Furman, or 13 Cal Baptist can keep the streak alive).

NO BIG UPSETS: Since March Madness expanded to 64+ teams in 1985, there have NEVER been back-to-back years in which all No. 1–4 seeds avoided upsets. If 1 Florida, 2 UConn, and 4 Kansas win, this will mark the second straight tournament without a top-four seed going down.

Heartbreaking stretch there for Villanova. Up 10 in the 2nd, to out in the first round. Hard to win a game when a team shoots 24 more free throws than you. Utah State now moves to 3-20 in their last 23 March Madness games. Arizona looms. For Nova, all eyes now look to Rome…

Arizona has gotten to the Big Dance as a Top 4 seed in 6 of the last 8 tournaments. They didn’t make it past the Sweet 16 in any of those trips, including losses to #15 Princeton and #13 Buffalo.

Villanova and Utah State have only squared off once in their history - the 1960 NIT Quarterfinals in MSG. The Aggies beat the Wildcats 73-72 in OT. They’ll meet for the second time ever on Friday.
