My life has far too much panic and not enough disco

In 1976, 23-year-old Anneliese Michel died in Germany after months of exorcisms. She had suffered from seizures, hallucinations, and severe mental health problems for years. But her family and two priests believed she was possessed by demons. That belief only grew stronger when Anneliese began doing disturbing things, including eating spiders, eating coal, and drinking her own urine. During the exorcisms, priests claimed multiple demons spoke through her. In a deep, guttural voice, Anneliese claimed she was possessed by Nero, Judas, Cain, and others. She wanted the exorcisms recorded and reportedly asked for the tapes to be made public as proof that the devil was real. In total, 67 exorcisms were performed, and 42 of them were recorded on tape. By the end, Anneliese had died from starvation and dehydration, weighing only around 30 kg. Her parents and the two priests were later put on trial. They were convicted of negligent homicide because doctors said Anneliese could have survived if she had received proper medical care.

@libsoftiktok A little interesting find on ol' Bob...

🚨 Melania Trump this morning: Proposes an AI system—“Plato”—as a replacement for teachers. “Literature, art, science, mathematics, history… the entire corpus of knowledge… at home.” Replace teachers? With a machine? AI over teachers. That’s the idea. Instead of calling for better pay for our nation's educators/heroes. Sad day!

A reporter asked Donald Trump why he didn’t notify Japan that the U.S. would attack Iran: “We wanted surprise. Who knows better about surprise than Japan? Why didn't you tell me about Pearl Harbor? Okay, right?”

Democrats flipped 13 seats in the Virginia House of Delegates. They'll go into the next session with a 64-36 majority—their biggest since 1989.
