We are now in the same position as the 70's; a stand alone nation with strikes, an energy crisis and very high levels of debt. The answer then was we needed to be part of something bigger and better - the EU (EEC). We grew to be very sucessful in it. What should we do now?

@kellynleefarrar I would never advise this. Having worked in Care Homes all my working life (30 years), as a carer, manager and owner. This would be a ludicrous decision and raise anxiety over abandonment.

A few questions: is it common practice when a person moves into a care home to ask relatives to stay away for 2 weeks? Is this practice based on evidence? What are the benefits?
